Planetary Conquest for Dummies Orphans

 Planetary Conquest was introduced in patch 2.9 Galactic Strongholds. With Conquest you earn points by completing objectives with the goal to reach your personal Conquest milestone for the week.

Objectives?:

By pressing ‘L’ to bring up your log, you’ll find the conquest tab at the top of the menu. Here you’ll find the information you need to begin collecting points. To the left will be the list of objectives and the points you’ll earn for completing them. Clicking on an icon will show you that objective, i.e. 0/1 Craft War Supplies. Crafting these items will earn you Conquest Points (CP). Some of these objectives are even repeatable, indicated by the Status: Repeatable (in big green letters) beneath. Other objectives can only be completed once, indicated by the word ‘Incomplete’.

Guild Invasion Bonus?:

While Conquest can be done solo, it’s really a guild activity. Not only do you have a point objective, but so does the guild, and it comes with its own rewards! (See leaderboards below) Every week your GM can choose a planet to invade, and certain planets give bonuses to objectives when invaded. Say, x3 to Craft War Supplies for example or x2 for completing a HMFP.

Leaderboards:

Each planet able to be invaded has its own leaderboard, which guilds can compete to be in the top 10. If a guild gains enough CP to be on the top 10 then every guild member who reached their weekly goal will gain an additional reward.

So what are these rewards?:

Personal rewards include an item that can be exchanged for credits, some Jawa scrap to be exchanged for crafting materials and a Gathering Lockbox, which when opened will give you three Stronghold gathering nodes (reusable crafting resources that can be placed in your Stronghold.

The guild reward? Even more credits, Jawa scrap gathering nodes and, more importantly, an encryption to help unlock rooms on your guild flagship.

Not only that, but the guilds who conquer a planet (first place on the leaderboard) will get an achievement and legacy title for that planet, items that can be used on that planet (a speeder and ability to call in a bombing run) and bragging rights.

And that’s (more or less) the basics of conquest! Go complete some objectives and get some goodies for you and your guild!
